Two Week On and The Next Steps

Once again thank you for making our project a reality! There are a few things that need to happen before we can kick off fulfilment, the good news is Footsore Miniatures & Games have already started production preparing the packs.

So I hear you all asking when will we get access to the pledge manager? Well, it looks like if everything goes to plan we think we will have the pledge manager open by Friday 29th May 2020.  The pledge manager we will be using is called BackerKit, one of the best and the same one we used before.

With this in mind here's a quick rundown of what is going to happen:

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over your funds confirming everyone's payments and pledge details individually into the BackerKit pledge manager, we are just waiting for this to happen and it should be anytime now.

Second, we have to find out from you what packs you choose for your pledges and where we need to ship them. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information this week, hopefully in the next few days.

We plan to give you a heads-up with another Kickstarter update before these surveys are sent so you can watch for it. You won’t need to create a BackerKit account as one will be created for you and an invitation email will be sent to the same address as your Kickstarter email. This email will contain a link to your personal survey and it is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your pledge.

If at any time you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (Please note, this page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

By answering your survey in a timely fashion helps us to get your rewards out faster.  BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organisation, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

I hope this all makes sense, if not please do ask questions. In other news, we do have the pledge manager built and all ready to go once Kickstarter and BackerKit give us the green light; below are screenshots of what to expect.

+12 Hours - What Happens Next?

Hello, everyone, we are just over 12 hours on from our Kickstarter finishing and I thought it would be helpful to send a quick update on what happens next.

When the Barons' War 2 project ended yesterday Kickstarter started to collect your pledge amounts which they say can take up to two weeks.  While this is going on, I am in the process of putting together the pledge manager aiming to have it ready as early as possible - I think it will be in around two weeks.  If you haven't participated in a Kickstarter before, the pledge manager, when it opens, will be like a Barons' War Kickstarter website. 

You will be given access via your pledge and be invited to confirm your pledge type, Baron, Retinue, Rebel, King John or Prince Louis and asked to enter any further information that we need, e.g. your postal address.  In the pledge manager, you will be able to choose the packs you want if you are a Baron backer as well as pay for postage.  You will also be able to add extra packs or add anything else that is available paying for these separately.  

There will also be the option to select "One of Everything" if you have backed at the Baron pledge level and the option to select "All the Stretch Goals" as an addition if you have backed at the Retinue pledge level, giving you one of everything.  If you have backed at the Rebel pledge level for the resin option, you will be able to add all the unlocked Stretch Goals as resin add-ons.

Prince Louis and King John backers, I will be contacting you separately via email after the pledge manager opens to discuss the process for having your miniature sculpted by Paul. 

Footsore Miniatures & Games who will be manufacturing everything for us have started to make the production moulds for the metal miniatures and have already made a lot of resin miniatures for the Rebels.  The Footsore guys want to be ready to start manufacturing in bulk as soon as you complete your pledges, so we can start shipping orders in a timely fashion which I think is great news indeed.

Thank you, everyone, for your support it is really appreciated and has been totally awesome, I think it is right to say we smashed it!  Keep following the update emails as we will be using them to explain what happens next.  Be assured we are fully committed to delivering your pledges in the most timely of fashions and keeping you fully up to date while we are doing it. 

We will explain what the next stages are in detail next week, for now, start planning your retinues for the Barons' War!

It's the Final Day already, with less than 12 Hours to go.

Morning all, I think it's actually closer to 10 hours until our Kickstarter ends, I have no idea where the last two weeks have gone.  A massive thank you to everyone who has backed us this far from the both of us, we have unlocked everything well ahead of time with King John being the last stretch goal. Everything has just been amazing, really.

The last and final addition was the Maid Marian, which Paul surprised us all with yesterday.

We decided to give her away for free to everyone who decides to go all-in for 'One of Everything' as this sort of commitment needs rewarding! We understand not everyone will want one of every pack we are offering so we will also add Marian to pledges of the same value which is a minimum of £145. 

We have had a few questions about this since yesterday I will do my best to answer them:

• I can't find the 'One of Everything' pledge how do you select it?  The 'One of Everything' isn't a pledge level it will be an option in the pledge manager for you to choose. 
• Do I have to select 'One of Everything' to get the Maid Marian? No, as long as you back for at least a minimum of £145 we will add her to your pledge. 
• If I increase the amount of my pledge in the pledge manager will I get the Maid Marian? Yes, you will, this also applies to any of the FREE miniatures, the Kneeling Knight and Aymeric the Templar Master.  
• Will the Maid Marian be available to buy as an add-on in the pledge manager? No, she won't, in the same way, that the Kneeling Knight, or Aymeric the Templar Master won't be available.  These miniatures are our way of saying thank you for your commitment to certain pledge levels.

Because we want to thank you for helping us raise more than the initial Barons' War Kickstarter, Paul and I have asked Sarissa Precision to produce a FULL-COLOUR set of MDF Action/Reaction tokens, for us to give away for free.  We have decided to include them with every PRINTED copy of the Alpha rules, meaning everyone who has backed this project for at least one pack of miniatures will receive a set along with the rulebook.

A copy of the tokens will be available in the rulebook for you to be able to cut out and create your own (I'm sure we will offer them as a download too), but there is nothing better than using ones that are purpose made.
